it was friday, and we had no class... yeay! :)
at long last, one whole day free of assignments, classes and etc. a day to relax and have fun...
me, D, ally, adib. 4 of us went for an unplanned trip and indeed we had our share of fun in Bandung *thumbs up*
we went to Eastern, our favourite chinese cuisine restaurant where we had dimsum, congee, beef shanks in garlic n soysauce (twice!), and chinese tea. simple brunch and worth the money...we got to eat two portions of beef shanks because we found a stray hair in the dish, and because we're still hungry, we decided to ask for a new one instead of cancelling the order.heyy..who could resist, it was just too yummy!
next,
we went to a factory outlet(fo) called Wanted since D got a voucher worth 85,000rupiah, which is a lot if we were in another fo. Wanted was just too weird. weird clothes, weirder lampshades and other knick knacks, and outrageous prices! a simple track pant was around rm80 ringgit.gila.
after that out-of-this-world experience, us 3 girls went to Paris Van Java, a famous shopping mall in Bandung. (adib dropped us off because he had to go for his appointments.) I think i was on a splurge mood. too much spending happened in one day. lol. in my defense, my stuffs were true necessities. i first went to MNG (lama dah ngidam), but the stuffs were ridiculously expensive, so i didn't get anything from there. i bought a crimson Zara cardigan (love it!), a fluffy pillow (throwing out the old one), a pair of black crocs (i am in need of decent black shoes. the ones i have are red, and leopard print), an awesome pencil case (around rm6 which is super cheap), and two pet tortoises - kame (girl) and kobe (boy). ok the last one wasn't really in the necessity category, but its only rm 13 for both, plus their food. and also did some grocery shopping... I wanted to buy a maxi dress but yeah everything is expensive in PVJ :( adib arrived in PVJ at 7 sharp (he was really punctual), went around PVJ again, before we leave for dinner.
a funny incident, my tortoise decided to escape from its temporary carrier (a plastic cup) but he got stuck on top of a plastic bag because there was just too much things inside the trolley, he couldn't find his way out. poor guy, really need to get him a bigger space to move around. hmm
then we went for a seafood dinner at HDL in jl. Cilaki, near Gedung Sate. the place was packed! we only ordered 4 dishes : kerapu cabe ijau, cumi, udang rica-rica, and brokoli cah ayam. the portion was huge, we barely finish the foods. i also got kobe & kame a bowl of water so that they can stretch their appendages out... had to keep them far from the foods, takut termasak sekali :P
then we went home, full and content. it was truly a great outing with them. we laughed, ate, and enjoyed our time, like we had never done before.
next month we'll have another trip to Bandung insyaAllah..to watch Harry Potter! :D
p/s: Al Fatihah to our fellow senior, Inani Zalikha, a 5th year medical student, who passed away recently. may her soul rest in peace among the blessed muslimin and muslimah.
